Rachelle Ferrell performing at the Carver: one-night-only performance!

Jazz at the Carver 8 p.m. Saturday Nov. 12 | 07 de noviembre de 2011

Contemporary jazz artist, Rachelle Ferrell, will appear at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov.12th at the Carver Community Cultural Center in the Jo Long Theatre. The multi-talented and respected artist is also an accomplished pianist, violinist and has a startling six plus octave range.Ferrell is equally as versatile with urban contemporary pop, R& B, gospel and classical music and has worked with some of the top names in show business including Dizzy Gillespie, Quincy Jones, George Benson and George Duke. Gillespie’s predictions about her becoming a ‘major force’ in the jazz industry have come true. Ferrell continues to compose and write songs on piano and violin. Her prolific songwriting abilities and capability to accompany herself on piano seem only to further her natural talent as a vocalist. Billboard Magazine refers to her as “easily the most accomplished, imaginative, and emotionally devastating vocalist to have emerged thus far this decade.”  Tickets are $31 each and are available through all Ticketmaster outlets by calling 1-800-745-3000, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at the Carver Box Office located at 226 N. Hackberry. The Carver Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and three hours prior to curtain. For additional information call the Carver at (210) 207-7211, www.thecarver.org .
