Madrid, Jan 2 (EFE).- A score of suspects accused of Web-based child pornography have been arrested in two operations carried out across Spain.
Collections of lewd videos and photographs featuring minors, which were uploaded to the Internet and swapped by pedophiles on different Web sites, were seized in the raids.
According to Spain's Civil Guard, the first operation was launched after files with pedophiliac content and specific software for searching for and downloading those types of files were detected on various Web sites.
Seventeen Spanish and Bulgarian men between the ages of 21 and 69 were arrested on charges of prostitution and corruption of minors via Internet, while 13 other individuals have been charged with the same crimes.
The second operation stemmed from a complaint from an individual who inadvertently received a child-porn video during an attempt to download a music video.
