Berlin, Oct 8 (EFE) .- The general prosecution in Germany ordered several Volksvagen offices to be searched on Thursday, including the automotive manufacturer's main headquarters in the northern German city of Wolfsburg, amid investigations opened into Volkswagen's scandal of falsifying emissions data in diesel-run vehicles.
Hayatou takes over as FIFA acting President, following Blatter's suspension

Madrid, Oct 8 (EFE).- Cameroonian FIFA vice-president Issa Hayatou will serve as acting president of the world soccer governing body after the FIFA Ethics Committee has provisionally suspended FIFA President Joseph Sepp Blatter, UEFA President and FIFA vice-president Michel Platini, and FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke for 90 days.
