Enjoy free classes this week only

San Antonio.- Stone Oak's first community theatre announces a week long of free get-acquainted activities for adults and children through August 13.

The Stone Oak Youth Theatre announced the opening of the theatre's newest ventures, Stone Oak Family Theatre and Stone Oak Dance Company. By expanding into dance and family community theater, these divisions will help further the theatre's mission of "building character on stage... and beyond!"

Brand new and fabulous, the Stone Oak Family Theatre is a nonprofit intergenerational theater company, dedicated to creating a shared theatre experience for children, teens, and adults, on stage and off. With a multitude of programs to choose from and great shows, the school strives to produce quality, wholesome entertainment for the entire family.

The Stone Oak Dance Company brings the same level of dedication to the art of dance, nurturing students through individualized attention and encouraging them to dance not only as an expression of the art, but as an expression of themselves.

To celebrate the opening, the theatre is hosting  inaugural Family Theater Week this week from  August 8-13. This year's theme, appropriately, is "Gotta Dance", and it's a great opportunity to participate in free classes. meet-and-greets with faculty and staff and lots of great giveaways.

There will also be special performances by SOYT's students and instructors and much more.

Stone Oak Family Theatre is a [pending] 501(c)3 nonprofit intergenerational theatre company based in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio with a mission to create a shared theatre experience for children, teens, and adults both on and off stage. Stone Oak Family Theatre, where actors, directors, musicians, choreographers, and technicians come to hone their skills, allows individuals to gain valuable practical experience both on the stage and behind the curtain and is dedicated to producing quality, wholesome entertainment for the entire family. Future quality productionswill be centered around wholesome themes that promote positive family values through content suitable to audiences of all ages.
